Description
A flip-up seat gas strut is a type of gas spring that is used to assist in the lifting and lowering of a flip-up seat. They are filled with compressed gas and a piston, and they work by using the pressure of the gas to provide force. Flip-up struts are typically attached to the seat on one end and to the frame of the vehicle or other object on the other end. When the seat is flipped up, they provide the force to lift the seat. When the seat is flipped down, the gas strut provides the force to slowly lower the seat into place.
