Description
Hale PM-688 Diaphragm is a rubber membrane that is used in Hale PM-688 Relief Valves. The diaphragm is located between the valve body and the valve seat, and it is responsible for sealing the valve when it is closed. When the pressure in the valve body exceeds the set pressure, the diaphragm flexes and opens the valve, allowing the excess pressure to escape.
The Hale PM-688 Diaphragm is a relatively inexpensive part, and it is easy to replace.
Here are some of the signs that the Hale PM-688 Diaphragm may need to be replaced:
- The relief valve is leaking.
- The relief valve is not opening or closing properly.
- The relief valve is damaged or worn.
- The relief valve is more than 5 years old.
