Description
A Trident Test Port Assembly is a device that allows firefighters to test the flow of water from the fire truck’s pump. It is usually located on the rear of the fire truck, and it consists of a series of valves and ports that allow firefighters to connect different types of hoses and nozzles to the pump.
They are used to test the pump’s flow rate, pressure, and overall performance. It is also used to test the operation of the fire truck’s fireground plumbing system.
To test the pump’s flow rate, firefighters connect a flow meter to the Trident Test Port Assembly. They then turn on the pump and open the valves on the test port assembly. The flow meter will measure the amount of water flowing through the pump in gallons per minute (GPM).
To test the pump’s pressure, firefighters connect a pressure gauge to the Trident Test Port Assembly. They then turn on the pump and close the valves on the test port assembly. The pressure gauge will measure the amount of pressure in the pump’s discharge line
