Apparatus Details
The 2010 Spartan Hi-Tech unit offers a strong and reliable design for teams that need performance and safety. First, this apparatus features an aluminum cab and body that supports long-term use. In addition, the Spartan Gladiator cab includes a 10-inch raised roof, which improves space and comfort for everyone inside.
This vehicle measures 31 feet 1 inch in length, 10 feet 4 inches in width, and 9 feet 7 inches in height. Moreover, it carries a gross vehicle weight of 44,000 pounds and a wheelbase of 179 inches. The unit comes in a bold red color and provides seating for six people. It also includes two SCBA seats, so crews can prepare quickly and work together.
Next, the unit uses air brakes and an air conditioning system to support safe and comfortable travel. The tires remain in good condition as of 2023, which adds value and readiness. The front tires measure 385/65R22.5, while the rear tires measure 12R22.5.
Under the hood, a Cummins ISM diesel engine delivers 500 horsepower through six cylinders. The engine has 4,515 hours of use. In addition, the unit includes an auxiliary brake and an Allison 4000 EVP automatic transmission with five speeds. This well maintained pumper will provided years of service to another fire department.
The pump system includes a Hale QMAX 150-23X that delivers 1,500 gallons per minute. It also supports single-stage operation and pump-and-roll capability through an added PTO pump. Furthermore, the Hale CBP4 foam system works with a 750-gallon poly water tank and a 20-gallon foam tank.
For operations, the unit includes a midship deck gun and two booster reels. It also provides multiple discharges and pre-connects to support flexible use. Intake options allow teams to connect from different sides with ease.
Additionally, the body holds SCBA equipment with five total holders. Lighting includes a Whelen 72-inch LED lightbar, emergency lights, and scene lights for clear visibility. The unit also features sirens, a mobile radio, and a traffic advisor.
